CensoredLol is built so that what's on your screen stays on your computer. This page lists everything we do collect, why, and how long we keep it. NEET Creative, LLC, which makes CensoredLol, is responsible for this information; questions and requests go to support@censoredlol.com.

What never leaves your computer
Detection runs entirely on your own computer. No screenshot, frame, image or detection is ever uploaded, and the app has nothing that could upload one. The app's log files also stay on your computer, in %LOCALAPPDATA%\CensoredLol\Logs; the app never sends them anywhere, and they only reach us if you choose to send them to support.
What the app sends
- In the background, the app sends our server your licence key, a random install id it created on your computer, and the app's version number, so we can confirm your subscription and keep it to one computer. Alongside these it sends a few technical details about that copy of the app, none of which identify you or say anything about what is on your screen: whether you are activating your licence on that computer, a fresh random number for each request (so an old reply cannot be replayed to it), the random numbers of its earlier requests still waiting for an answer (so a reply lost on the way is not mistaken for a second copy of the app), a random session value we issued it, the time it is using to check your subscription, whether its last secure connection to us used a certificate it recognised, and whether its own safety checks have tripped since it started. On a computer set up to test new releases, it also says so, and the first run after the app updates itself says which installer it updated through.
- When you ask for it, the app sends your licence key to get a short-lived link to your billing page, or to renew your subscription on that same key.
- The subscription check above also tells the app which version is newest; it asks nothing else about updates. That check runs when the app starts, when your computer wakes from sleep, when its clock is changed, every 12 hours (sooner after a check that could not get through, and every few minutes for a while after you go to pay), when you open the app's Subscription page, when you come back to the app while your subscription has ended or a payment has failed, and when you use the app's subscription buttons or click to install an update. When a newer version is out, the app downloads its installer in the background; nothing is installed until you choose to.
What we store
- For your subscription: your email address, your licence key, the subscription's status and dates (trial end, renewal, cancellation, and the number of failed payments), how many computers the plan allows, the ids that link it to your Freemius account, which install currently holds the licence, and whether the key has ever checked in from more than 5 installs of the app within 30 days (which only marks it for us to look at). We keep this while you are a customer and afterwards for as long as we need it to answer questions about your purchase and for our records.
- For each computer: its random install id, the app version, when it first and last checked in, the random session values from its latest grants and the random number of the request the latest one answered, the latest subscription time it reported, when it last reported that its safety checks had tripped, and whether its last secure connection was one it recognised. On a computer set up to test new releases, also which installer it last updated through. None of this describes you or what you censor, and it is deleted automatically 90 days after that computer last checks in.
- To stop people guessing keys or flooding our email, and to limit how often a licence moves between computers, we count requests per licence key, email address and IP address. Each counter holds only the count for the current hour, day or (for moves) month and when that period began, stored under a one-way hash, not the key, address or IP itself. Our nightly clean-up deletes it once that period began more than 2 days ago, or 32 days for the count of moves. Our database keeps no other record of IP addresses.
Payments
Checkout, billing and receipts are handled by Freemius, on checkout.freemius.com. Your card details go to Freemius and its payment processors and never reach us. Freemius handles what it collects to take payment under its own privacy policy, and sends us your email address and the state of your subscription.
When you subscribe, Freemius emails your licence key to you. When you ask for your key again, we email it to you through Resend, our email provider. We only email you about your licence and subscription, and to answer you when you contact support.
When you write to us on the Support page, your email address, the topic you pick, your message, the last four characters of your licence key if you give them, and the app's version (when you came from the app) are emailed to our support inbox through Resend. Our server stores none of it, and we use it only to answer you.
Who else handles it
- Freemius runs checkout, billing and the billing page.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Vercel hosts this site and our server, and so handles the requests that reach them, including your IP address.
- Neon hosts our database.
- Cloudflare stores the app's installers and delivers them from download.censoredlol.com, where the app gets its updates, and so handles those requests, including your IP address.
We don't sell your information or share it with anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising.
This website
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. The live demo runs in your browser on stock clips; nothing from it is sent anywhere. The Manage and Resend pages send the licence key or email address you type to our server, to open your billing page or to email your key again, and the Support page sends your message to our support inbox.
Your choices
Email support@censoredlol.com to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Deleting it ends your licence, so cancel your subscription first if it is still running.
Age
CensoredLol is sold only to people aged 18 or over, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and its date, and email subscribers about any meaningful change.
The terms of your subscription are in our Terms of Service.
