These terms cover the CensoredLol app for Windows, your subscription to it, and this website. They are between you and NEET Creative, LLC, which makes CensoredLol (“we”, “us”). By starting a trial, subscribing or using the app, you agree to them. Questions go to support@censoredlol.com.
What CensoredLol does
CensoredLol runs on your computer, watches your screens and covers explicit content with a censor box as it detects it. Detection is done by machine-learning models, which are good but not perfect: they can miss something, cover something that isn't explicit, or react a moment late. CensoredLol is a tool that helps, not a guarantee, so please don't rely on it as the only safeguard where a miss could cause real harm.
Who can subscribe
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to buy a subscription.
Subscription and billing
A subscription costs $7 (US dollars) a month and renews every month until you cancel. Payments are taken by Freemius, which runs our checkout and billing on our behalf; its own terms also apply to the payment itself. If the price changes, we will email you before you are charged the new price.
Free trial
A new subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. Otherwise your first monthly payment is taken when the trial ends.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your billing page, which you can open from Manage subscription with your licence key. Nothing more is charged after you cancel, and the app keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds
If you are not happy, email support@censoredlol.com within 14 days of a charge and we will refund that charge. A refund also ends the subscription.
Your licence
- One subscription covers one computer at a time. Activating your licence key on another computer moves it there, and the computer it left stops censoring. A licence can move between computers up to 3 times a day, and up to 10 times in any 30 days. This covers a new PC, a reinstall and the occasional switch; moving a licence back and forth between two computers every day is what the limit is there to stop.
- The app checks your subscription with our server in the background and keeps working offline for a while between checks.
- Your licence is for your own use. Please don't share or resell your key, or try to get around the licence check.
- We may suspend a licence that is being shared or abused, or that was bought with a payment later reversed.
Updates
We improve the app over time. When a new version comes out, the app downloads it for you and asks you to install it. Every new version is required: you have a day to install it, and after that censoring is paused until you do.
No warranty
CensoredLol is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we make no promise that it will catch everything, work on every computer, or run without interruption.
Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have by law that cannot be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of New Mexico.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will email subscribers about any change that affects them in a meaningful way.
